Rengeteget beszélünk, sokszor hangsúlyozzuk az anyák szerepét (legtöbbször jogosan), remélhetõleg legtöbben köszöntöttünk is édeasanyát anyák napja alkalmából, ez mindenki által ismert, elfogadott téma és jelenség.
Hol vannak az apák? Nálunk miért nincs apák napja?
Ebben az általában "férfitársadalomnak" tartott világban, pont a férfiaknak nincs ünnepük?
Az apáknak, akik az édesanyákat támogatják, hogy biztonságban hordjanak ki minket? Az apáknak, akik ugyanúgy szeretnek, várnak, mégis csak tehetetlen szemlélõk a szülés-születés nagy elõadásán? Akik aztán anyával együtt hazavisznek minket?
Az otthonba, aminek melegét az anya teremti meg - az apa által hazahordott fa lángjánál.
Anyánk táplál, enni ad nekünk - apánk hozta a húst. Anyu ölében elalszol - apu mindkettõtöket védelmez.
Anya hintázik veled az udvaron, apa gombát szed veled, megmutatja az õzet az erdõn.
Kitõl lested el a mozdulatot, ahogy a kalapácsot fogod? Kitõl tudod, mit kell mondani, ha az ujjadra vágsz vele?

A mi édesanyánk korán meghalt, mégsem vesztünk el. Van apánk, aki vállalta, hogy innentõl neki mosnia, fõznie is kell és felnevelt minket. Magára vette egy anya feladatait is és ettõl kétszer annyira férfi lett, mint bárki más.
Felnevelt három gyereket, belefáradt, elképzelni sem tudom milyen nehéz lehetett velünk (pláne egy olyannal, mint én...) és a legszörnyûbb, hogy máig nem tudtuk megköszönni. Ilyenrõl nem beszélünk. Másról is ritkán.
Valamiért nem megy. Túl sok dologban különbözünk és túl sok dologban hasonlítunk - ha egy óránál többet vagyunk egy helyen, akaratlanul is összeveszünk valamin. Talán egyszer majd ez is változik, ahogyan az változott, ahogyan a viszonyunkat látom.
Apák napja nincs. Még nincs, pedig talán sokkal fontosabb lenne, mint az anyáké - nem azért, mert bármelyikük is fontosabb, dehogy - , mert mi, férfiak, nem szoktuk, nem tudjuk megbeszélni az érzéseinket, de ha lenne egy ilyen nap, talán egy gesztussal azért elmondhatnánk: apám, köszönöm.
